Govinda was out of the silver screen for quite a while now. He was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s RAVAAN, where he was seen playing the role of Sanjivani Kumar. But that was just a supporting act, and his actual lead role was in 2009, in the David Dhawan movie DO KNOT DISTURB.

Now, he will be seen in yet another rib-tickling venture, NAUGHTY @ 40. The movie is produced by Anuj Sharma and is directed by Jagmohan Mundhra. It is expected to hit the screens by mid-February. Govinda will be starred opposite Yuvika Chowdhary and Sayali Bhagat.

Apparently he has shed some kilos to look younger. Govindaa is sweating it out in the gym, and has also been taking serious Yoga lessons. His new look is currently in the news and his hairstyle has a shade of blond in it.

The year is believed to be a busy one for this dancing star, as he has about four to five releases.

Director Vishal Bhardawaj modified the story of Ruskin Bond’s ‘Susanna’s Seven Husbands’, on which the film is based, to accommodate a male lead. But the two couldn’t come to a mutual agreement about the plot and characters. So, Vishal didn’t waste a single moment and changed the story back to original and signed his favorite actress. Thus, Priyanka came into the picture.

Though Vishal prefers to work with females as protagonists rather than males, the box office reports feel otherwise. The equations might change if NO ONE KILLED JESSICA and SAAT KHOON MAAF turn out be a major success, which only time can tell.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are not a couple any more. But that does not stop Sallu Miya from taking a dig at the sizzling Katrina. Salman did not leave any chance to tease Katrina at the Star Screen Awards, that was held on Thursday.

According to various sources who spotted them, Salman was outside his vanity van, which was parked next to Katrina’s. When his former lady finished her performance, she proceeded towards her own van. Salman greeted her warmly, asked her to join him and hugged and kissed her on her cheek. Everybody around was surprised.However, they both appeared to be comfortable in each other’s presence.

But just as Katrina was about to leave, the mischievous Robin Hood Pandey called up to her and said, “Abhi kiski saath hai tu?” (Whom are you with now?) But just as a stunned Kat turned to admonish Salman for his sudden use of words, he quickly gestured towards her bodyguard, suggesting that the question was for him!

"Salman asked the bodyguard again 'ab kiske saath hai toon?' with a huge grin on his face thus averting what could have been a big public showdown,” says a source.

Salman and Katrina were seen together even after their break up. Katrina is also very close to the Khan family, and often visits Salman’s mother and sisters.

Stars might have a huge fan following, but before law, everyone is equal.

According to reports, “Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, along with Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Fardeen Khan and Suniel Shetty are marked in the Stamp Duty evasion list.

The reason behind their names to be included in the list is the mega endorsement deals they have signed between the period 2006 – 2009. Under article 5(H) (A) of the Bombay Stamp Act 1958, duty needs to be paid on every endorsement, either by company or by stars who are endorsing it.

Kareena Kapoor‘s total stamp duty is Rs.3, 16,450(as of 2008), which is comparatively less then Sachin who has evaded Rs. 4, 51,100. Bipasha Basu’s total stamp duty is of Rs. 86,250.

Shame on you guys! You are the role models for many. Please don’t disappoint your fans and pay your stamp duty in time.

The list is pretty long, of about 20 stars, including Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Shilpa Shetty, Anushka Sharma, Kunal Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Prateik Babbar, Ranveer Singh, Tusshar Kapoor, Celina Jaitley, Neha Dhupia, Dia Mirza, Shazahn Padamsee, Raima Sen, Amrita Rao, Rohit Roy, Sandhya Mridul, Monikangana Dutta and Aditya Roy Kapur, who would be walking the ramp for an NGO that supports girl education.

The stars would be campaigning for the education of girls at the Mijwan village in the Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. Mijwan is the birthplace of her father and one of the greatest Urdu poets, the late Kaifi Azmi.

The stars would be seen walking the ramp on January 23, and would wear attires styled by Manish Malhotra. The cause will also support women empowerment.

Shabana said that the stars did not throw any starry tantrums when she approached them. She said, "Just Rs 6,000 can pay for a child's annual education in Mijwain.

All the stars I approached have come on board, no questions asked. They are role models and when they throw their weight behind a cause it leads to immense awareness on the issue. This is going to be the most phenomenal fashion show ever."

The remake of the cult English film “ IT'S ALL GONE PETE TONG” will be produced to a Hindi version by Saregama Productions, titled SOUNDTRACK.

The film will be directed by debutant Neerav Ghosh.It would be interesting to see how the director fares in his very first film. The film brings together Rajeev Khandelwal and Soha Ali Khan for the very first time,another fresh pair to rock the Box Office. The film also stars Mrinalini Sharma, Mohan Kapur and Yateen Karyekar and also musicians Sidd Coutto, Ankur Tewari, and Anurag Kashyap in a very special role.

Years back, three superb dancers of Bollywood-Govinda, Amitabh Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit grooved together to do a song “Makhna” for the film BADE MIYA CHHOTE MIYA. Although Madhuri had just done a cameo, the song is remembered for the great camaraderie between the three dancers. The song was shot years back in 1998, and today after more than a decade, Chote miya Govinda and Dancing queen Madhuri, refreshed the memories on the sets of the popular TV show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

Govinda made an appearance on JDJ to cheer his nephew Krushna Abhishek, who is one of the contenders of the show. Krushna requested Govinda and Madhuri to recreate the magic of the song on the Jhalak stage. The duo did not disappoint Krushna. They also showed that even today, they can challenge any contemporary leading actor when it comes to dancing. Seeing his uncle dance with the diva, Krushna could not resist joining them. He too, took an opportunity to be a part of the great act.

Previously Govinda had made an appearance on the show to introduce his nephew Krushna for Jhalak. Madhuri and Govinda should perhaps start giving the current league of actors some training, considering the fact that no present actor can match the enthusiasm that the duo exhibit.

The film is an out and out political film probably based on the real life story of Bihar's charge-sheeted politician Surajbhan Singh, wanted for several alleged crimes and convicted in 2008 for murder. The movie would be based completely in the northern belt of Bihar and the characters too would be dressed up as politicians and people there.Anurag has supposedly signed in actor and friend Manoj Bajpai and surprise package Director Tigmanshu Dhulia, playing the role of Surajbhan Singh.Asked about his transition from direction to acting, Tigmanshu says "I don't know why Anurag thought of me for the main villain's role. Maybe I look evil. I am a trained actor from the National School of Drama. But I hadn't done any acting for twenty years. I thought I was bad actor, until last year when I acted in a diploma film for Subhash Ghai's Whistling Woods acting school. It was then that I thought arrey yaar main acting kar sakta hoon." Coincidentally, Anurag Kashyap's offer came along. "It's a major role. Anurag's film is in two parts. And I am in both. Maybe one of my temptations to take up the offer was the fact that I am very familiar with the North Indian Bihar-UP belt."Asked about his feelings on enacting the dreaded politician Surajbhan Singh he aptly replies “So I've heard. But I've not copied Surajbhan Singh. I am dressed like a Bihari politician in Dhoti-Kurta. But I haven't copied anyone. I'm playing the part in a very subtle style with dark shades. I am not doing over-the-top villainy."

Munni and Sheila have created frenzy in the nation. The two popular hits of the year, "Sheila Ki Jawani" and "Munni Badnaam Hui' are breaking all music records of the past, and are considered to be the two most loved songs. However, not everybody is a fan of Sheila and Munni.

Social activist Nutan Thakur, on December 23rd last year, filed a petition at the Allahabad High Court asking for an immediate ban on both the songs, as she considers them to be indecent and immoral.

According to her, there is sharp increase in eve-teasing, molestation and mental harassment to women, especially those whose names are Sheila and Munni. So Nutan is demanding authorities to take some action on this front.

Some reports now suggest that the I& B ministry will be looking into the matter. The petition says that the song has certain objectionable material which violates the provisions of the Cinematography Act of 1952.

Salman Khan is ready and excited for the sequel. The star cast will be the same for the sequel which will consist of Salman with Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan, Sonu Sood and Vinod Khanna . His brother and producer of DABANGG, Arbaaz Khan is flooded with offers from biggest corporations to buy the rights of the sequel. There was a report saying one made bid of Rs 110 crores.

Apparently money is not an issue. It is the director of DABANGG, Abhinav Sinha who is creating obstacles in the way. With the success of the original movie, Abhinav has hiked his fee to an astonishing amount. He has signed a film for 10 crores, post to which he started acting pricey. And this is one of the reasons, why the decision regarding the sequel is stuck.

When asked, Arbaaz says, “I am not at liberty to discuss what offers are being made and by whom. Nor do I wish to comment on the mathematics because the kind of figures the market is attributing to the sequel is not surprising. Dabangg is worth big money, it is a proven franchise.”

When probed about Abhinav’s price hike, Arbaaz laughed it off and said, “Abhinav is on board for the sequel, as of now. I don't wish to discuss the money. We are fair people and obviously he will be paid what is his rightful due.”

All we want to say is, please sort out all the issues as soon as possible before ‘Chulbhul Robinhood Pandey’ changes his mind!

On ‘Koffee With Karan’, SRK spoke his heart out and said, “If Salman and Farah are upset with me, then its my fault.” But Salman took this statement in a diferent way and got angry. Salman now feels that Shahrukh did this all on purpose, so that media keeps asking Salman the same question repeatedly.

Salman said, “If SRK was really sorry, he could have called me or dropped by at my place. Expressing regret on a chat show makes no difference to me or anyone.” Salman even feels that if Shahrukh chose media to communicate, then he should also reveal the entire conversation which caused this fallout. Salman claimed, “But I don’t think he’ll do that. Forget about me pardoning him, should anyone hear that conversation even they’ll not pardon him.”

Khan has already named one of the mangoes after Aishwarya. He has also developed a new variety of mango and given it the name of Master-Blaster Sachin Tendulkar.

It took this genius about eight long years to create this special guava, that Khan feels will be sweeter with softer seeds. Thus Ash feels that it is a great honour for her.

“The new variety of guava is very different in taste, smell and look from the traditional and normal varieties grown in the country,” Kaleemullah told a news agency.

During his early days, Rahman learned to play the keyboard and not only that, he also worked as an arranger in the band “Roots”. Along with him was his childhood friend who was also a percussionist, now a well known musician, Sivamani. Along with these 2, there were also a couple of friends John Anthony, Suresh Peters, JoJo and Raja. Doing well in the field of music, Rahman started was the founder of “Nemesis Avenue”, a Chennai based Rock-Band. And to the delight everyone he not only played the keyboard but also the synthesizer, harmonium and the guitar. Gradually after the success of the band, he gained a keen interest in the equipment synthesizer. Not over looking this, he started his early music training with Master Dhanraj.

We had reported that South actress Ranjitha has denied her involvement in the sex tapes that portrayed her and God man Swami Nithyananda involved illicit activities (1/1/2011). However, today, the CBI says that forensic reports confirmed the actress’ involvement in the tapes.

The photos and the video of Ranjitha and Nithyananda, and Ranjitha alone were sent to the Forensic Science Lab (FSL) in Hyderabad and Chandigarh, after which the picture became clear. Previously too, Legitimate Investigators had crosschecked the videos to ascertain the authenticity of the tapes, when the scam was busted. Another cross checking was done at the FSL, wherein the officials confirmed that the tapes involving Ranjitha was very authentic and not morphed. The tapes did not show any indication of body double too. Ranjitha had been constantly denying the allegations saying that all this was just a ploy to malign her.

A CBI official bluntly denying the actor’s claim said, "Anyone with a doubt can get it confirmed from anywhere else in the world."
