It looks like the tiff between the film-makers and composers will be resolved soon. In a Press Conference held yesterday at the Sun and Sand, producers Ramesh Sippy, Ashoke Pandit, Mukesh Bhatt and T Agarwal (Head of the Film Federation of India) joined hands to postpone the January 6 nationwide bandh that they had organized to protest against music composers and lyricists’ claim for royalty.
Although Ramesh Sippy made it very clear that Javed Akhtar is not banned and that the film industry is still a family, he also was very expressive about the fact that a fair balance of share of profits is necessary between both the parties.
